There’s something about getting a group of alumni together that makes time disappear.
You can go years without seeing someone, run into them at an event, and suddenly you’re talking like it was yesterday.
“Do you remember…?”
Of course you do.
That’s part of what makes the New Berlin High Schools Alumni Foundation special. We’re not simply connected by the schools we attended. We’re connected by the people, experiences, teachers, teams, activities, friendships, and stories that came with them.
And that’s exactly what WestFest is all about.
The New Berlin High Schools Alumni Foundation is hosting WestFest 2026 on Sunday, September 13, at 1:00 p.m. at the New Berlin Ale House.
This is our third annual WestFest, and we’re keeping the idea pretty simple:
Come together.
WestFest is our end-of-summer gathering for alumni and friends of New Berlin West and Eisenhower high schools.
There isn’t a complicated agenda.
There isn’t a fundraising pitch you have to sit through.
There isn’t a dress code.
And there’s no admission charge.
It’s simply an opportunity to get together with people who share a connection to New Berlin schools.
Maybe you haven’t been back in touch with your high school friends in years.
Maybe you see them all the time.
Maybe you’re an alumnus.
Maybe you’re a parent, teacher, friend, supporter, or someone who has simply become part of the New Berlin school community over the years.
You’re welcome.
Grab a friend and stop by.
Come for an hour.
Stay for the afternoon.
Find someone you haven’t seen in years and catch up.
Meet alumni from a graduating class different from yours.
And, inevitably, hear a story that begins with, “You remember when…”
Those are the moments we’re hoping to create.
WestFest isn’t being organized around a specific fundraising goal.
It’s about something more basic: building and maintaining the relationships that make the Foundation possible.
The Foundation exists because people who care about New Berlin students decided they wanted to give something back.
Those relationships matter.
The more connected our alumni community remains, the stronger our ability becomes to support today’s students and tomorrow’s graduates.
And sometimes the best way to build that connection is simply to spend a Sunday afternoon together.
We’ll also have NBHSAF T-shirts and polo shirts available for anyone who wants to show a little Foundation pride around town.
Fair warning: wearing one may result in someone asking, “Hey, did you go to Eisenhower?” or “Were you a West graduate?”
That’s probably part of the fun.
WestFest is only three years old, but we hope it becomes one of those annual events that people begin to look forward to.
Not because it needs to be the biggest event in town.
Not because it needs a packed schedule.
But because it’s nice to have a reason to get together.
Our schools have changed. Our graduates have moved into careers, raised families, started businesses, traveled, retired, and taken life in a hundred different directions.
But there’s still a common connection.
New Berlin West.
And the people we met along the way.
So before summer officially disappears, come spend a little time with us.
